Dear Jason, I wanted to take a few minutes of your time to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas! My other request today is this: Perhaps you lost a friend or loved one in Vietnam. But even if you didn’t, please consider posting a tribute or remembrance on the VVMF website. A tribute of gratitude is a wonderful Christmas “gift” to the memories of the patriots on The Wall. And it’s a gift that will be treasured by everyone who knows someone listed on The Wall. Have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends. And please take care, especially if you’re traveling. Sincerely, |
Established in 1979, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., and promoting healing and educating about the impact of the Vietnam War. Authorized by Congress, its most recent initiative is building The Education Center at The Wall, an underground facility near the Memorial that is designed to add faces to all the names on The Wall and tell their stories to future generations. Other Memorial Fund initiatives include educational programs for students and teachers, and a traveling Wall replica. | |
